sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand.

hooray! finals week is finally dwindling to a close, and all the things i was stressing about seem totally pointless now. the long day of work was quite alright...or dare i say it? even fun. i'm SO glad theatre is finally over- even though i loved the teacher, and all the people in the class- all 10 of us :) and math was whatever, as usual- french & ffc were pretty easy, too, and all i have left is comm, & i'm HOME FREE for three blissful weeks. i can't wait for more peppermint mochas, friend time, family time, & presents. yay!

i had internship interview #2 on wednesday, and it was the total opposite of #1. #1 was twelve stories of corporate chic, with sharply dressed professionals,& a BEAUTIFUL interior complete with security guard at a round desk. #2 was on the top (fourth) floor of a 60's mod vintage chic office building on melrose avenue, across the street from fred segal (le gasp!) i rode the rickety elevator to the fourth floor, only to wander into an office with christmas lights on the receptionist's desk, a fifty something lady who was raving about her new love for facebook. and the funny thing? i'm pretty sure she was the boss. a bunch of twentysomethings in jeans & trendy tops scurried around the office, joking and laughing with each other all the while. while i waited for my interview, i read one of those huge books full of pictures, like the ones you always look through at barnes & noble. that place was the epitome of professional hipster, and it was awesome. when i lost hope that the corporates would ever consider me for the internship, i recieved a voicemail after my french final.."hi shawna, we'd like to ask you back for a second interview with management-" yipes! so next monday, i venture back into the corporate jungle..
