i love it when...

-epic bad days turn into epic great nights, and epic great days after..99% thanks to alexis, 1% thanks to taylor lautner ;)

seeing that in a magazine is like instant joy, let me tell you.

-it RAINS, and you get the overwhelming urge to bust out taylor swift's "fearless" cd.

-i'm in LA, and there's a coffee bean on every corner..just saying...

-when new phi sig babies get initiated!!!!! :)

i visited the museum of tolerance in LA today by myself. i parked, strolled on in, when they asked if i was alone, i said "yep," and felt an overwhelming surge of freedom and peace roaming the exhibits in the museum. it's a really cool and interesting place, and definitely wasn't just the scatter of holocaust artifacts i had been imagining- but of course, they had an amazing, in-depth tour as well as artifacts, complete with concentration camp "gates" that were chilling yet fascinating at the same time- it was definitely something to experience once in your life. but not only that, they had a huge wall time line that spanned the entire existence of the united states, and how oppression has been an unfortunate part of our history since 1776. it offered a rather optimistic view of the future, since there's been more action taken to suppress racism and hatred in the past 20 years than there had been since the founding of our country up until around the 60's. there was also an interactive exhibit about hate speech, and about immigrating to the us, and the whole voyage, and how to trace your family's roots from when they came to america. as a history nerd, i was loving every minute of it. as for this epic paragraph about the museum of tolerance, let me just end it by saying it's a really awesome place, and i had to go for my intercultural communications class, which is also bomb.com..and it doesn't hurt i definitely have a 100% in that class :)

wow...you know you're scatterbrained when your post begins with taylor lautner and ends with intercultural communications...a good way to keep life interesting!

xoxo
