wow.

almost two months since my last blog, and over two months i've been living here at chapman, and i honestly don't know where to start. it's been hard to say the least, trying to figure out who exactly i am, and what kinds of friends i want. i feel like the people i tried too hard to impress weren't worth my time, and looking back i almost feel silly that i even wasted my time chasing after friends like them. roomates are..interesting. original thoughts i had about them have changed dramatically, and i favor one over the other, which was inevitable, but the one that i get along with better was not who i planned. my friends ashley and nicole have been a godsend my first couple of months here, because they were the instant friends who appeared to help make the first tumultuous months at chapman a little bit better. i've been working quite often, which is good, because god knows i needed the money, especially after my cellphone..incident, which led to the purchase of a brand new phone...

a blessing in disguise? sort of. a reminder that i need to take care of my possessions more carefully. well work has been good, but it's also stripping me of any weekend activities, and everybody knows how college kids roll on the weekends...well i'm definitely not one of them..i've recently discovered my extreme homebody tendencies, and how my favorite place in the world is curled up in my bed at home, with my sugar cookie candle burning, watching the girls next door :) once again, living here in the dorms only eases the pain that i thought would have occured when i had to move back home next year..but right now, i'm only excited. i'm also excited for thanksgiving, seeing angela & jillian, christmas, and seeing shanell in april, but perhaps i'm getting too far ahead of myself? whatever. but for now, i will relish in the "freedom" of the dorms i wanted so badly, sans candle & hawaiian sheets, and count down the days until thanksgiving with my new cell. life is good :)
